Marjolein PottieSir Mouse adores fairy tales – but what if they suddenly change completely?
- A new adventure of Sir Mouse, who gets all confused about the many adaptations and plot twists in fairy tales
- Is a bold knight even allowed to cry and to say sorry?
- A refreshing story about reversals of fairy tales in contemporary culture
Sir Mouse goes to the Fairytale Forest with Prince and Dragon. But everything is different from usual. Sleeping Beauty doesn’t wake up, because Prince doesn’t want to kiss her without asking. The wolf can’t be killed, Little Red Riding Hood says, because he is a protected species. And Little Thumbling doesn’t want to belittlingly be called ‘little’ any longer. It’s clear: the fairy tales are completely running riot. Sir Mouse gets so confused, she lashes out at Dragon. She wants to apologise immediately, really. And cry. But a bold knight is not at all supposed to do that. Or is she?
