Hello, I’m Kristof Devos. I write and illustrate children’s books and design watches. As a lecturer in Illustration & Graphic Design, I reflect on the role of creativity and inclusion in an educational context.

In my podcast Podlood, I invite guests to my studio and talk with them about their relationship with illustration and with life itself.

I never leave home without my sketchbook and am a firm believer in connection, stillness, and a bowl of rice pudding every now and then.

My work has received international awards on multiple occasions. It has been published in, among others, The New York Times, Vogue, Hodinkee, Fratello, Knack Weekend, and De Standaard.

My illustrations have been exhibited at the Bratislava Biënnale in Slovakia, at the Nami Island International Children’s Book Festival in South Korea and Malaysia, and at Astrid Lindgren’s Näs in Sweden, in the exhibition Hela världens Mio / Mio of the Whole World.

My books have been translated into Danish, English (USA), French, Korean, German, Spanish (Mexico), Turkish, Arabic, and Chinese.
