'Sometimes, as a parent, you lose your temper, say something you regret, or simply aren’t your best self for a moment. And that's okay. But what happens next? How do you learn from your mistakes and show your child you're truly sorry?' (Anky De Frangh)

‘I am sorry’ is a heartwarming children’s book about big emotions, making mistakes, and trying again. With a loving message for children and parents alike: even when things go wrong for a moment, love is always there.

A gentle, relatable story: perfect for reading together and talking about feelings.

Some favourable reviews and reader quotes:

This book will make a difference in a lot of families.

Every parent sometimes reacts to their child in a way they later regret. If you are struggling with how to make amends with your child, or don’t know how to talk about it, this is the book that will help you find the right words and tone. My toddler listened very attentively and found the pictures really fascinating. You can have a spontaneous conversation without it becoming too heavy. A great book that will make a difference in all those families where saying ‘I’m sorry’ is difficult.

A must-have for every parent!
Wow! Perfectly describes what I think and feel as a sometimes over-stimulated mum. Everything is described in clear language so that we can convey to our children why it is sometimes too much for us, but that our love is unconditional.
I could never have put it so beautifully into words and illustrations myself. I had to wipe away a tear when reading it to my girls.

What an incredibly good book!
It sold out after just one week, and rightly so! Unfortunately few parents learned in their own childhood how to say ‘I’m sorry’ sincerely. How to apologise after you’ve shouted at your child in an overstimulated mood (who isn’t these days!?) and said and done things you’re actually ashamed of…
Most people then say something awkward like, 'Yes, sorry, darling, but you really got on my nerves…' And then the child no longer hears the apology, but only that he has done something wrong (again)… In this colourful book, you and your child will learn how to do it right: how to apologise sincerely (without the ‘but’) and thereby repair the break in communication.
